Week4 - Creative Mindmap on Cockroach

My group members decided to do the mindmap on cockroach. We first thought of separating the mindmap into four sections - history, types of cockroach, 15 facts and 101 ways to kill a cockroach.

The history of cockroach was rather tricky. This was because there were many informations online and some were just vague so we had to search in depth so as to know if our sources were true and accurate. One of our information was found here : http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Cockroach

For the types of cockroach , there were over 300 species of cockroach so we decided to pick up the main types of cockroaches. The cockroaches all came in a range of sizes and colours . I was rather awed by that as I thought cockroach were either black or brown. For more information, you can check out this link : http://www.orkin.com/cockroaches/ and http://www.pestworld.org/news-and-views/pest-articles/articles/cockroaches-101/

Below are some of the interesting cockroaches I had found online :

The 15 facts of cockroaches was the interesting part to do as there were many astonishing and bewildering facts that I had not known before. After this, I felt so much knowledgable of cockroach. Some of the facts could be found here : http://insects.about.com/od/roachesandmantids/a/10-Facts-About-Cockroaches.htm and http://www.pestworld.org/news-and-views/pest-articles/articles/fascinating-cockroach-facts/

The 101 ways of killing of cockroach sucked all our brain juices as we had to think of funny & creative ideas. I was inspired by ideas from here :

To end this off , this project has made us to think out of  the box and exposed as to new ideas that may sound wacky yet innovative at the same time. If given another chance, I would definitely like to try a much more difficult and interesting topic. Lastly, these are my group members who have each contributed and worked hard together to come up with this mindmap.
